New Uniques are a major part of every Diablo 4 season, potentially shaping that season’s meta based on the new affixes this gear brings. While every Diablo 4 class can expect to get one new Unique each season, not every one of these pieces of gear is a winner. Diablo 4 Season 10 is really split 50-50 when it comes to this latest batch of Uniques, with 3 of them being crucial components of meta builds, and the other 3 being essentially worthless.

Not only do the new Diablo 4 Season 10 Uniques have to contend with other pieces of gear of the same type, but with the addition of Chaos Armor, a whole new pool of Uniques opens up that weren’t previously available as certain gear types. As such, it will take a lot for a Unique to stand out as a worthwhile option over its Chaos Armor or Mythic alternatives. The 3 new Season 10 Uniques that have carved out a place in the meta are obvious game-changers that deserve a place on a solid number of Diablo 4 builds, but even as Chaos Armor, the other 3 Uniques tend to be inferior compared to the alternatives.

Diablo 4 Season 10 Uniques Have 3 Clear Winners, and 3 Clear Losers

The Winners of Diablo 4 Season 10's New Uniques

  • Kilt of Blackwing — Unique Druid Pants
  • Galvanic Azurite — Unique Sorcerer Ring
  • Hesha e Kesungi — Unique Spiritborn Gloves

One of the best builds in Diablo 4 Season 10 is made possible by the Kilt of Blackwing Unique Pants for the Druid. While the Companion Druid build has been a solid option in past seasons, its Ravens variant becomes the star of Season 10 thanks to the massive buff from the Kilt of Blackwing, which increases the damage and total number of Ravens players can summon.

Galvanic Azurite contributes to an already powerful Sorcerer archetype by giving Lightning builds a new staple Unique. After a season where the Hydra Sorcerer reigned supreme, builds like Crackling Energy Sorcerer, Lightning Spear Sorcerer, and Ball Lightning Sorcerer are some of the best options for the class precisely because the Galvanic Azurite Unique can drastically increase the damage enemies take from Lightning skills.

While not as game-changing as Season 9’s Balazan’s Maxtlatl Unique, the Spiritborn’s new Hesha e Kesungi Gloves elevate a few build options to meta status. Specifically, builds that emphasize the class’s Gorilla skills, such as Crushing Hand Spiritborn and Payback Spiritborn, gain a nice boost from this Unique’s ability to pull enemies together when The Protector is used, simultaneously increasing the damage dealt by Gorilla skills to affected enemies.

All of these new Uniques can be found as Chaos Armor, which gives them more utility than they might have otherwise.

The Losers of Diablo 4 Season 10's New Uniques

  • Sabre of Tsasgal — Unique Barbarian One-Handed Weapon
  • Gospel of the Devotee — Unique Necromancer Focus
  • Orphan Maker — Unique Rogue Two-Handed Crossbow

Unfortunately for Diablo 4 Barbarians, the class doesn’t have as many meta options as others in Season 10, meaning the Sabre of Tsasgal doesn’t get a chance to shine even on builds that can utilize it. The main problem with this Unique is that it doesn’t provide a significant damage boost on builds that lean on Shouts, since its Unique affix scales with the number of damaging skills the Barbarian has equipped. Alternatives like Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus and The Shard of Verathiel are generally better options, unless the player is willing to sacrifice some of their Shouts for more damaging skills.

Although the Necromancer boasts some solid S-Tier builds in Diablo 4 Season 10, none can make great use of the Gospel of the Devotee. The class has nearly as many low-tier builds as it does high-tier ones, and the only build that really benefits from the Gospel of the Devotee is fairly mediocre. Bone Spirit Necromancers can use the Unique alongside the Shattered Spirit’s Aspect to unleash bone splinters that pierce through enemies, but this build doesn’t have the same meta potential as options like Blood Wave Necromancer or Shadowblight Necromancer in Season 10.

Despite the Rogue having a surprising presence in the Diablo 4 Season 10 meta, the Orphan Maker doesn’t do the class any favors. The few builds that don’t mind trading a slower cast speed for high damage output with the Orphan Maker’s Reload keyword are usually jacks of all trades, masters of none. Barrage Rogue and Rapid Fire Rogue both allow the class to play more methodically from a distance and deal increased damage, but the drawback of having to Reload makes these builds worse overall options compared to fast, one-button builds like Dance of Knives Rogue.
